International Ottoman Sevens - INT (Confirmed their registration)
The International Ottoman7s is an invitational Rugby Sevens team that was found in 2007 as a spin-off of the Istanbul Ottomans R.F.C. The main aim of this Sevens team is two-fold: to promote Rugby to the Turkish citizens, and to promote Turkish Rugby to the international Rugby community by participating in – and of course winning – large international Rugby Sevens tournaments. Since the year of foundation the Ottoman7s were able to raise their Turkish flag with the large Dutch Ameland Beach Rugby Festival, for which the team existed largely of Dutch national team players. They aim to do the same in their “home ground” in Istanbul, by bringing in players of the German National team – including two of Turkish descent: Mustafa Güngör and Timur Tekkal.

Türk Gücü - TUR (Confirmed their registration)
The Türk Gücü is a selection of the best players playing in Turkey. We are sure that they will be challenging the topfavorites of the tournament, as they have last year at Istanbul Rugby Sevens by collecting the Dead Duck Trophy. This is their second appearance at an international rugby tournament against teams that are not unbeatable, and they will learn a lot along the way. They are here to show that experience is not everything, and that the will-power of the Turks is inexhaustible.
